Wow... miracle is the only word.
|
Praying for the familes of both men. That was horrifying to watch live on tv. It looked like they were about to set a new benchmark speed for a big cat with 1350's.
|
The video with the sound of them clipping the nose and then landing made the hair on my neck stand tall. Then looking at the pics of what the boat looked like afterwards makes you say a silent prayer to the man upstairs and say thanks for looking out for the two onboard. Im all for adventure but that is one ride I don't think I ever want to take. Hope for a speedy recovery for Mike and Joel.

what a crash. hope for the best. when thinking about that, planes take off at similar speed so very thin margin between running wet and blowing over like that... prayers again... |
When you see the impact photo, I can only say that it is miracle the boat ended up right side up. Scary and prayers sent!

Good Morning Phil.... |
WOW! Amazing that could be survived. Wishing both men a full and speedy recovery.
|
Mike and his company have done a lot when it comes to advancement of hulls and speed, and after his last accident and now this I only hope he will be around to enjoy what he has done for this sport. I just don't want to see anyone getting hurt in a sport I love so much! Speedy recover to both guys and prayers to the family for having go through this difficult time.
|
One thing to keep in mind is Mike is going to study this boat and with his experience in building a safe boat and living through a crash you know he will be making improvements on what was already good.
Everyone will benefit with improved safety. |
knowing mike i,ll bet hes hard at it thinking of movable wing up front to prevent blowovers its time for our sport to rethink the saftey and survivability in these boats .....there very lucky to have lost so much speed in the air and it rolled upright after landing upside down thats beyond luck !
