Yes... They were cooking too!

pslonaker 08-23-2014 10:53 AM

too much trim

bobkatz 08-23-2014 10:54 AM

Shootout run, straight over, touched a sponson, launched again into the air, landed flat on the canopy! It was upside down probably 50-60' high before landing sideways on the canopy. Really bad crash!!! They were right side up when they finally came to rest.

Boat landed on the canopy, but ended up right side up.

and now you are an expert cat driver? 20 minutes after the accident, you don't even know if all survived, and you are calling driver error. Class act polesmoker!

phragle 08-23-2014 10:56 AM

just saw the wideo, they blew over ans spun it in verted like a frisbee comming down canopy first. Saw the fireboat leaving with one on a backboard in a litter. No frantic work being done so either there was no work left to be done or they are in good shape. hoping, praying for the latter.

Live streaming KRMS.COM - right seated pilot up and standing , left seated driver extracted and on back board - boat kited, landed upside down stern first - slightly on starboard side.

The online Ustream feed is not working properly, the picture is gone, but the picture is coming in good on the iPhone app...

PARADOX 08-23-2014 11:07 AM

All the best to the boys. Good luck. Keep the BS comments away.

omerta one 08-23-2014 11:10 AM

Fortunately the boat flipped back upright after impact and they were able to get the drivers out

Not good.

low_psi 08-23-2014 11:18 AM

Boats can be fixed/replaced. People cannot. Hopefully the co-driver had a full recovery.

Holy crap! Prayers for all involved.

Young Performance 08-23-2014 11:44 AM

Scary deal to see it in person. The boat couldn't have landed any worse on its lid. That is a testament to the canopy construction. If it survived that, it should handle Damn near anything. Prayers.
Eddie
