RIP Mike, while I never had the pleasure of meeting you, I did like many get to enjoy the amazing machinery you and your team produced, and the industry has lost one of its true pioneers, I hope your family and friends can find some peace in the fact you touched so many lives in the short time you spent on this earth.

Like many others, I never met the man and would likely never have the opportunity to do so. But he is an icon of this sport. My deepest sympathy along with thoughts and prayers to his family and friends.

I am so sorry to hear this, I had high hopes he would recover. It really saddens me to know he is gone. It was probably about 18 years ago that Mike came to Detroit with what might have been his first Outerlimits for a poker run on Lake St Clair. He was young of course and Ian was really impressed with the boat, he said to me if he can get this company off the ground he is going to build some amazing boats..... Even during all the changes and downturn in the economy he innovated, he thrived and he succeeded. He really was a force in life and the powerboat industry. My heart goes out to his wife, children, and everyone that knew him or knew of him. RIP Mike
