I agree with slingshot.

Maybe asking for a new boat might be a little extreme, but it might come to that. HavasuCig isn't asking alot here, just to make the damn thing right. How friggin hard is that to do?? It's amazing the way **** works (or doesn't ) sometimes!!!!

AS A BUSINESS MAN MYSELF, IF I HAD THAT PROBLEM AND ALL THE GUY WANTED WAS A NEW PLATFORM, AND I ADMITTED TO AND FIXED THE MOLD PROBLEM

HE WOULD HAVE A NEW PLATFORM NEXT DAY AIR COURTESY OF MYSELF!

Slingshot----

I completely agree with you, but that's not the deal here, unfortunately.

Thanks for your help and ideas folks! Hopefully we can get this resolved quickly :(

Havasu Cig 08-28-2002 03:51 PM

As my other 1/2 said thanks for the responses. I wanted to make sure that what I wanted sounded reasonable to some non-involved people and it sounds like it does. Like Semper Fi said DSM is trying to help me and they have been great,. Hopefully we can work something out.

What about sending back to Extreme to have modified? Or getting some spacers powder coated the same color, just a thought.

I agree with Troutly, if you purchase a product from a third party manufacturer it is their responsiblity to ensure all is right with the customer. Extreme should be kissin your butt to fix this, you are their customer

I agree with SlingShot,

That is a 200-300K boat, I will loose allot of respect for Cig if they don't step to the plate and help out.

You purchased a presumed to be perfect flawless boat.

I sincerely hope they do not use the mold without correcting it????

WILL;)

Havasu Cig,

If all else fails, check out how the swim platform is mounted on Ruckus (Jeffrey's prior boat). He ordered a new platform that did not fit the way it should have .... outer mounts were not on the same plane as the inside ones. We used 3/8-1/2 inch flat rubber cut to match the mounting flange ... worked out perfect and looks good. Even though you have a 1 inch difference per side, would a 1/2 inch pull it out far enough to clear?

Personally, I think Extreme Marine should take care of you. They assumed the clearance when they should have asked for a measurement.
