A Velocity VR-1 would fit what you are looking for. I am pretty sure they will be around 80mph with a single 525. You could also look for a 29 fountain with a 525, there is one on the powerboat swap shop on Facebook but I think it is listed north of 60k if I remember correctly. Both of these should get you close to where you want to be, only problem is they will be few and far between.

Just curious but why are you so against blowers? I used to be against them too til i built blower motors last winter. First year I've gone a whole season without getting the tool kit out. Probably open up a lot of options for you.

Not against blowers , but automotive superchargers aren't for boats, I believe and if I had one it would be a whipple rotor type and they are expensive.

A whole season without getting tools out and if it was no blower maybe 3 seasons-lol

Yeah I agree with the 50K plus and probably more like 60+ for newer 525 blue, Hey we can wish for that deal of a life time LOL

A 500efi blue with a whipple would work I think, but good luck finding those.

Still remember that DCB, damn that was a nice boat! Never saw ha up my way this summer.

Congrats on retirement, I wish you well!

PS, the velocity pictured in the thread is a CLEAN boat, worth a look I think. I know the owner and the previous owner who was anal as hell, great people.

Was up there 3-4 times with a 28 skater white & orange.
May try and buy the DCB back if I can get it, great little boat and was great on the lake for its size.

You change boats?

Super clean boat with new interior and fresh engine, gets multiple comment's about how it looks like a new boat.
