Ya.....I have always wanted a sport CC and can't have both. I love the Sonic a LOT but it is a hassle to use not living on the water and using it every Sunday. Also I am constantly ass on elbows and leaving buds at the dock cause I have no room.

So we are wanting to simplify a bit for how we boat.

I will end up with another I/O through hull boat when I am in a position to own both.

Don't understand the first part entirely...... I want to end up owning both type of boats but till that is a reality then a sport CC is what I want to live with for only owning 1 boat.

I did have a CC prior but it was a 23' flats with a single 115 on it and was built in 1979.....not plush, fast, or even fun really lol.

Motor wide the Sonic has been great but those MAG 496s are bullet proof with simple upkeep.

LMAO.. I don't mind the "simple" upkeep. But the ridicules JIC maintenance? ggrrrr.. I love boating and the water,,, but..... Every time I take her out, when I come home... (no matter what time) I wash, de-salt, rinse the trailer, flush the motors, drain the headers, put a fan in to dry the cuddy and bilge out, then park into the shed where I have 6" play on each side, some time late PM. A quick (2 hour, ) hop to the islands, takes me 2 hrs of prep and 2 hours of putting her away. I don't have a support staff like some.. :( I have to do everything my self. Thus;; the canoe.... :)

And that right there is a big reason I want a slightly smaller sport CC. It is an event every time I take her out. Add in that the pull from the shop to the water is just over and hour each way too. I am 4-5hrs of time with prep check, drive, and after clean up.

Thanks for the compliment. The boat runs great and I love the motors. They have warranty until end of 2019. Multiple reasons for rear section of t top. I have canvas enclosures with clear that zips into the canvas on the t top for winter protection. It creates a soft pilot house. It snaps to the back section of the t top. It adds xtra support to the t top for when seas are rough. Adds a place for standing passengers to hold onto. I built it out of alum before I hade all metal work powder coated. I designed it to be removable. It bolts to the upper rod holders and to the leaning post.

Color wise yes....price wise...no lol.

I want to use blue, Grey, and black color scheme with neon green high lights around some of the side paint.

Interior will be diamond stitched white vinyl with gray accents and a gray seatek flooring.

Be careful Nate. Price to build gets out of control to do it right. I bought the boat cheap. Don't want to admit how much is invested. I will take a loss. I wrote a check for 55k for the motors controls gauges steering and rigging. I have 15 k in electronics. I can go on and on. You get the point. I learned a ton. Buy it done and save. That is what I will do on the next one.

I get what you are saying but I do want something slightly custom.

I am getting a break on a lot though. My buddy it the owner and is doing the wrap for me, Nick and the gang at a statement are helping me out as well with the interior aspect, and all the wiring, stereo, and lighting will be done by me and a good friend. Past that I dontnplan on doing much more.

You sound like me. Spent as much time if not more prepping and putting away as I did running it. CC next for me.

wow nice looking boat but 75k for a 1995? if thats the going rate for a well done 95 cc Ill be without one for a long time

Unfortunately I have more than that in it. The only piece on the boat still 95 is the hull number. It was important to me to have new power. That comes at a cost. Either I built this 95 with new motors with the colors and style I wanted or buy a new boat. The new boat was approx double the cost with same equipment. As said before the motors their equip and rigging was over fifty. Electronics were 12. Add the alum trailer the boat is free. So I ask you what is it actually worth. How does someone price this boat. What should I ask for it. What is fair for a 95 completely rebuilt in 13 with over five years of warranty. I would love to hear your thoughts and ideas.

I heard that this 30' Predator Cat can be built with a cuddly.

Will be one of the the fastest CC around with just a pair of outboards or if you want twin small block V8's with your choice of drives.

It's a nice set-up for sure and I'm not dogging the boat, but it's still a twenty year old boat, I love the new power, but in ten years someone will have spent 75K on a boat that's thirty years old.

There's a few things through the years that I wish I hadn't gotten too deep into too, good luck with the sale.

You will never get out of a boat what you put in. The guy that bought a brand new boat in 2013, his isn't worth what he paid either. Add on top hull technology over 20 yrs. the only way a full redo of a boat is worth it is if you love the boat and wanna keep it a long time.

I like the idea but it is going to be well past what I want to spend.

I do want to see what the final product looks like though, like the idea here

Thanks for the info. Just like a new boat in ten years there will be depreciation. The new boat will depreciate more due to the higher value and price. I know I got too deep in the project and as always with these issues, you never get your money back. Unfortunately I only know how to do something 100%. Just as I mentioned to Nate. Be careful. It's easy to go overboard. Originally the plan was to keep it. I had two brokers evaluate the boat with two different ideas. I would like to hear from the guys on this forum. What in your opinion(they going to vary greatly). As to a fair value of this boat as a whole.

Being I know I want to dump $8k - $10k into it right off the bat, prob a ceiling of $35,k for the boat....lower would be better as always but we always say that.

I also bought my sonic with a budget plan of $40k max lol. I about doubled that.

I work independently. I'm not the manufacturer. I do help out Arnaldo [Predator Powerboats] from time to time. Just like I help out Doug Wright from time to time, and other manufacturers and racers I can't mention.

$35k is a bit low for a nice quality center console with up to date engines....ie etec's or opti's.....you might squeeze 300hpdi's but they dont have the best reputation. Trust me you want either dfi 2 strokes or 4 strokes on a boat these days. Repowering these days is not cheap. I have more than 35k in my engines. Not including steering. At that price point you might end up with an older 30 scarab sport and I don't think you would be happy with that seeing what you are coming from.

I am not planning on getting something as nice as I have now from the price point.

The Scarab 30 just above your post is a great example of what I want and actually seems way cleaner than what I was hoping to find.

Since I plan on redoing a lot from day one, I am not looking to find a visually pretty boat. Just want a good running boat that I can start building on.

My current boat was the exact opposite of what I want now. I bought something very very clean that I had to do nothing on. Now I want to get my hands a but dirty this time.

I don't see a porta-potti on board that Scarab 30, but I guess this would work in a pinch... :lolhit:

Not true.. I picked up my 2000 Concept 30 with twin 2006 Opti 225s (less than 300 hrs on the motors) for $32,500 with an aluminum trailer (last January). Deals are out there, and they will begin to surface soon. Winter is almost here...

Sounds like you've got a great grasp on your boat and it's great that you didn't get all twisted with my comments, it happens here sometimes, I was just pointing out the obvious, your boat is nice, good luck with selling her........................I bet she looks great all white.

My opinion is that if you get the cost of the new outboards and some of the electronics I'd be happy and go on my way to another boat, JMO.

FYI, my 353 is all white.
