Speaking of a Sport C.C......
If you or ypu know someone with one that's in the lower 30' area in size, then bookmark me lol.
The Sonic is in the classifieds as of today. So once it is gone the search for a Sport CC is on. Really want something that needs some love but not in the ways of structure work. Want to add a lot of personal touch to this next boat. Really want a good floored Scarab 302 Sport but open to ideas. No fishing on this boat and must have a small cuddy up front.....no way around that. Can't wait for the next chapter :) |
Is the Cabin for Sleeping and Stuff? Or for the Pottie? You can get the Pottie in the console..You could probably Stab the Dragon in there if you had too :) Lol ....

We might do a few over nights on the near islands so a small room just to grab a few zee's are needed. Lastly the women want a area to snap in/on a Mat to suntan on up front when anchored. |
Think there's a nice scarab on c.l. long island for under 40.
It was one of the nicer ones I've seen in a bit. I'll see if i can find it |

Hard part I think is going to be finding something not really nice but not a dump. I want to do.... New side paint Seatek floor All new seats and stitching huge system New T-top with a hard top Redo the console and gauges And a few other things.....so I am working all that into the price I buy for. I don't want to buy high on a super clean boat, only to then do all I want. Then I end up way upside down on the boat. |

Check out the Donzi 29's as well. They are a big 29 with twin steps and a nice size cuddy. Mine will run 70 with 250's.

High 60's on the mph would be ideal anything more is icing on the cake. |
Donzi definitely isn't a big 29.
$.02 nice boats but smaller. Euro transom. I personally don't like how they ride. Not knocking them. Just my opinion. |
Good luck with the sale and search. You'll have to start a redo thread once you get the new ride.

100% will and thank you. Have been talking to Nick about it a bit and he is going to help me out on some things. If you can't buy a statement then just have them customize it for you lol. I am excited about building something that has my touch. |
|
I see you're going for it, good for you, good luck on the sale of the Sonic.
I'd look at the Concepts and the Renegades, both seem like great boats and are the style you're looking for. |
Testing the waters on mine. So far the race is on between a fisherman on Long Island and a woman in Miami wanting to make it an island hopper to the Bahamas. No checks cashed yet.

I don't know any of this boat personally but stumbled across it while looking for an 18-20' CC.

http://jerseyshore.craigslist.org/boa/4660097638.html That one is worth a call right there. Thank you good sir. |
I second the Concept. I bought mine last winter at just under $35k put a couple of thousand into powder coating, stereo, new graphics. I still have a few things like some misc hardware and screws that needs to be replaced (due to previous salt water exposure). The Concept has a slightly larger cuddy than the Scarab, I believe. Don't get me wrong, it is by far a large cabin.... But it fits the bill and we have overnighted a few times with it. The biggest selling point on mine was motors. I bought a 2000 year Concept hull that had been rigged with 2006 Merc Optimax motors. So mechanically it is/was a pretty sound package. Ohh, and with twin 225 Optis I have seen 66 on the GPS with a little bit of trim left and the bimini top was open. Fold up the bimini and trim it out, it might tickle 70 in the right conditions...

Concept is certainly in the run for sure. Hard thing with them is finding one that is not really clean or that I want to mess with lol. An all white one would be perfect. Ya I hope to find someone with newish mercy 250's that are solid while I do what I want. In time i would like to move to a Verado maybe but that is wayyyyyy down the road. Just want to avoid the Opti-bomb years is all. |

Just want to avoid the Opti-bomb years is all. Exactly the reason I jumped on mine when I saw it listed on Facebook/Concept Page. 2006 Optis are well past all of the power head/fuel delivery issues. And they are soooo fuel efficient. Mine was all white with the exception of some ugly blue/yellow stripes at the waterline. So DA, and wet sanding and they were gone. Replaced with brighter blue and lime green stripes to match the arch and trim work. All white Concepts are a bit rare, but they are out there... |

Nice boat Dam Donzi, list that on The Hull Truth and you will definitely get a lot of interest.
Nate I would also check out 35 Donzi's I think they are only a 33' hull, I also saw a mint 302 scarab on THT somewhere in TX. I think 32 Sonic's or Dakotas (same hull) are a great option too |
|
|
35 Donzi is a nice CC but much bigger then a 302 scarab.
|
Another find on ebay, don't know this boat either. A friend of mine used to have one of these and loved it. It is 28' to the transom so 30+ with the bracket.

I think there is one of those for sell at a little place in winter haven Nate.

This is an older ad, and an older boat. But, it may be worth a call, especially since its right in your backyard.

You could always add a canopy if you wanted one, I would install a retractable one like are on the Concepts and Renegades.

U should make the back seat on that midnight velcro, and give your passengers some velcro shorts because it looks sketchy as fahk. Cool boat, nice power.
I can tell u I was considering that blue cig 35 with the triple ox66. A friends friend looked at it for me and said it's rough. Too bad because I really liked the big cabin with full head. Plus, it's been re tagged with Florida state hin #s at on point..... Not a deal breaker if it was mint. But that's not the case. Also i think that midnight is a open bow. |
I know, its to big and to pricey, but it has been for sale for awhile. Maybe you could get a deal on it. Run the old motors for awhile and re-power.

Rigging is clean on that boat.
|
http://www.anglersedgemarine.com/Pag...-Warranty.aspx
This boat belongs to my friend, it is very clean and outboards have plenty warranty. My buddy wants a 38 TG |
Yeah, the rigging caught my eye as well. also, it holds 306 gallons of fuel, which means he probably replaced the tank. Most of the older 37' midnights held 500-1000 gallons of fuel.
|
Nate.. lol.. you just bought that Sonic, just being dialed in and getting rid of it?

Check out the Avance 33. True 33 footer with one of the fastest straight hulls around. Hard to find, but worth the effort. I was lucky to find a stripped hull and completely rigged myself, the way I wanted the boat to be. New interior and twin 300 Vrods. In it for a fraction of what it is worth on the market.........and done my way. Check out So. Fla. craigslist, there's one that looks like something worth looking into.
