This rigging works great for us. IMO, large water dumps on top of the Max Machine Bravo's is why these drives have never broken. We have 100-150 hrs on the drives running 750+HP with many hours from 5500-6500 RPM. We solved the sea weed injestion issue by covering the pu's with SS perforated disks flush with bottom. The sea weed self-cleans at speed. Only took about 5 years to figure this out

[QUOTE=vintage chromoly;4201283]I'm rigging my 24-7 pantera with a through the bottom pickup. Going into a sea strainer.
I'll be attaching a hose from the inner transom assembly water inlet port from the lower unit and having it discharge through the transom and directly on top of the drive.[/QUOTE

If u run a imco with a high X u might want to use another type of water source.

We also run the Imco lowers, but then just use the drive water to 100% dump on the Imco top cap.
