Waze works great and is surprisingly accurate for the real time police locations. I have BEL and escort detectors both work great. If you get hit with laser you are screwed though. That's why waze is cool you will know of a speed trap before you even get there.

Waze just showed a speed trap at .04 miles ahead and sure enough it was there it was even time stamped. Surprising amount of users around and I am in the middle of se ohio on a rural highway.

Escort. The only way to defeat laser is with a jammer though.

Well so far I'm pretty impressed by waze. since I fired it up an hour ago it has alerted me to two speed traps that were in fact there as well as three disabled cars and a section of highway that was going 9 mph all accurately. On the map here in Columbus there's no less then a dozen users around me at any one time.

Have the Escort9500ix myself. It works pretty good but, once you hear the warning of 'Laser Alert, laser alert' you're busted. Only chance you have is quickly do a U-turn if possible [ screwed if the highway has a concrete divider] going back the way you driven from and take a 15 minutes brake. Hopefully the cop will have another motorist to serve and you could drive by later, lol.

You can get laser scramblers. Problem is that I would need 4 of them.

Waze is awesome. I use it for every jaunt over 30 minutes or so purely to know what's going on around me.

You don't have to use it with a screenname, but I chose to.
I like the feature where you can let someone know where you are on your path.
Use case: I'm driving home late at night, and want someone to know exactly when I'm getting there; but more importantly they know where I'm at if I DON'T make it home.

Don't use the feature if you plan on stopping for a "shoe-show" on the way home, however.

Once you get used to it, start adding intel. You can add the speed traps, accident info, hazard info, etc. etc. all yourself; to alert others around you and return the favor.

Three for three on speed traps with plenty of warning. Just went by one that was stopped, both the enforcement and the perp were marked on map lol

Must be revenue day on 23 north, Waze just saved me another hundy lol (or my Gf anyways, she's driving at the moment while I am playing with the waze thing lol). Four for four I am impressed and you can see them coming on the map far in advance, so far about a mile an a half.

Also saw David Mercury go by a little bit ago with his 36 Skater heading home from Alum Creek

Note to self toggle off user when stopping at shoe show lol

Never be first in line in the fast lane and always keep an eye out for brake lights cause everyone who sees a cop hits their brakes even if they are doing 40 in a 55.
