I don't think the lobster traps were FROM the boat, he said storms and current/tide move them and they get caught up under/against the boat.

Too late.... It's almost winter, and somebody called out a beak and lobster traps....
Ergo, within 3 pages or 3 months, all Fountains will be referred to as fishing trawlers!

I wonder if there wasn't some white powder or green leafy substance that was being transported by that boat at some point.

If I remember correctly the diver said they were in Long Island Sound.
I've built quite a few pools for buyers who relocated here from that area and several have been offshore sport fisherman.
They raved about how much they loved our access to the open water from Galveston Bay, Freeport, and Matagorda Bay.because of the lack of really strong currents with our tides.
I went fishing with one out of Matagorda Harbor on a super sweet Viking he brought with him to Texas.
Both he and another told me about a dangerous main channel there called Hells Gate and how it gave his boat fits if the winds and tide weren't right.
OMG people this was the most awesome boat I've ever boarded and blew away my late FIL's 40' performance trawler in accomodations and power.
I had a hard time thinking about this macho machine having difficulty with anything once launched and if so it would most likely wreak havoc on a low draft powerboat in bad conditions.

See ya,
Kelly

I believe he is running a 632, very impressive in person as it is a conventional shaft driven boat.
