I think that Don Johnson Edition had the Lambourghini 12cyl. marine engines in it. I worked around the show while I was at UM and I kind of never lost touch. I miss it on TNN at 2am when I get home at night. I'm stuck watching videos of the few episodes I have.

Greg

P.S. I think the episode with Ted Nugent was my fave.

That is correct! The Don Johnson Edition had the option of going with the Lambo V-12's. They were major expensive and the boat still only ran 75mph. Even in the 80's thats not fast enough for the $$.

This is easily a top 5 best thread ever! So many great memories and excellent vintage brochure pics and info. Keep on keepin on OSO!

G. Gordon Liddy was talking about the time's he was on the show and said they had 3 Scarabs all the same. He asked why have 3 and they said it's cheaper than if one wont start or if they need the boat in two places at the same time. There was one of the boats in OSO classifieds, said it was built for the show but not used or something like that. I havent seen the one on the Potomac in a while.

For what it's worth, I banged a model that was used as an extra on a few episodes.
