Got #%ucked again

So I got both motors broken down . Looks like I have after market bill Mitchell 540 heads? Why would that be after 138 hrs on a boat. And melted down skirt of one piston. There is no cross hatch in either more to speak of. Looks like there was either one or multiple over heats on the motors because of the powder coat bubbling on the gill manifolds. There are signs of leakage on either the pipes or manifolds. So in essence I have 2) good blocks. I have been around the web looking for drop in power but can not find any 500 hp motors out there like that. I wouldn't even mind spending the money for 525 efi motors. Do any of you know anyone who has GOOD drop in replacement power either 500hp carb or 525 efi?
Sent you a PM.

I picked up a velocity from a guy who kept saying " this thing is turn key bro" well after 2 1/2 years of complete resto and 38k I have a very nice very fast very clean velocity.......it was not turn key. New stringers stiffeners power drive interior gauges steering trailer rebuild all new wiring blah blah blah. You get the picture. I know with these toys 38k is nothing. But this was a 1986 22' velocity. Btw she is for sale if anyone is Interested in a awesome stable 22. I have micro lam stringers in it with 450 hp 383 stainless marine custom made exhaust Latham steering lavorsi gauges .etc.

Never trust the hour meters. I bought a boat that was advertised at 300 hrs and would probably need head gaskets soon. I brought my own merc scanner ($500) and read the ecm. engines had 185 hrs on them. 100 of the hrs below 1000 rpm. I didn't feel it was my responsibility to tell the broker.
