I'm assuming its this one. Add claims it to be a Velocity thoroughbred. If its a thoroughbred it has to be a Stepp boat. But I don't think he was making Thoroughbreds in that year. Hopefully someone will know.

HEY YOU GUYS... Thanx for all your input!!! I pretty much thought that was a Regal... HEY CAINCANDO... Yes that is the boat I was talking about... Did you look at the transom pic & see the GELCOAT BUBBLES I see on my computer screen??? If that is a REGAL, & it is, it SHOULD say Regal somewhere on the hull graphics & interior... I think the ad is a little "DECEPTIVE" don't ya think ??? BTW: In 1984/5, I bought a brandy new Steve Stepp 22' VELOCITY w/a 200 Mariner & am kicking myself in the ass for selling it a little while ago... That was a KIKBUTT boat !!! Thanx for the help !!!... HEY JFM311... Just bcuz I'm a NOZYBASTID...What's the info & specs & $$$ & other info on your's... I may be interested... Thanx>>>>>>>>>>>>>

I had a 1990 23ft Velocity and it was Definatly a Regal, It looked great, even ran great!! It had 454Mag with Lathem Steering! The only bad deal was the Bottom look like a reversed Golf Ball!!
(Cough) Did I say that out loud?
Also had a 1987 30ft, it's hull was straight and true!! But, I think it was a Regal though.
Now I have a 1985 22ft that has had a HARD life (kinda like me) I bought it from Gary that races with Steve Miklos in the Extreme Boat! I guess they used it in some Kilo runs and in a couple of races. Anyway the bottom doesn't have even one Blister! It's completely stripped and is one of projects on my "TODO" List!
I heard about the same story that everyone else has said, Steve Stepp hooked up with Regal and he was hired to help build the Velocity's but when the boats weren't being built to his spec.'s he skated and it took him some time to get the name back! I guess the ones that were built while he was still there are O.K. but I really don't know.
My ABOS Blue book shows that the first Velocity's made by Regal were in 1987 but my book only goes to 1989 so I think they made them until 1992 and in last couple of years it was only the 22ft and 23ft then only the 23ft. I can do some more checking later!
