Popularity, now that is the key ingredient in this thread.....how can there be a wrong answer, I am A-OK with list of eight, there are some custom builders such as Doug Wright, Phantom, Rage, Progression, ect that build some great boats.....but then when add that word popularity to this equation your list "top 8 Performance Boats is pretty complete.

One more wrinkle to consider, now what if your criteria were changed from today's current boat builders to the Top 8 Offshore Performance Builders of all-tim, then what do with Magnum, Donzi, Mirage, Scarabs and the 38' Bertram Raceboats, ect...this could be a very interesting thread
