First two years with no prior high performance time in a 40 Skater with Sterling 1100s. about $12,000/year with a layup from Labor Day to Memorial Day.

This year, my 3rd year.....$7,500 with no layup and 1/2 the deductible.

I paid $5500 for my Nortech and $12,000 for my Skater insurance... Not bragging, but I do have quite a bit of high-performance experience

It also depends on your agent. I paid $600 per year on a 24 ft cat that ran close to 90 mph. I pay more for the Apache now that runs slower.

I think one of the reason we are seeing 1075 cats sitting for sale, is there is a small market for big cats, the 1350's have been out for a while now and they seem to be the popular motor. So the big cat ballers have upgraded to new boats with the merc turbos, which puts their 1075s on the market.

What a b!tch. Buy your insurance for 12500 a year but for God sakes don't ever have a claim of any sort or you will never get it again. What a rip off!!!! When I bought my TG most insurance company's wouldn't even give me a quote just cause it has the name cigarette1 on the side of it can't imagine what they say when you tell them your running a cat at 120+. Have to give credit to Stacy at wakezone for hooking me up with a decent rate though

Search for a recent thread on the 46 Cig American Muscle II....It is a 1075 boat and absolutely beautiful but has had 5-6 owners since new (2006). 1075's aren't for the thin wallets or accountants because the costs add up quick. The 2nd owner and the last owner both have mentioned on here on how expensive they can be and even after big digit refreshes they still can eat money when something like exhaust fails.

The kick in the nuts is when the boat is in top shape you still can't get rid of it because everyone fears the costs associated with the 850/1075/1200s
