I agree with all.
One other note, I pulled my Teague motors at 180 hours on them to make upgrades and was amazed at the condition of the engines; heads/seats, valvetrain, 8 litre whipples, pistons, blocks all in great shape. Bearings were virtually unworn. The rebuilds include replacing pistons, all valvetrain, reconditioning heads, injectors etc etc but many of the parts could have been reused. Point is Teague knows how to build a "happy" motor and when properly maintained and cared for is every bit as turnkey and the "factory" stuff. I can tell you that these motors would have gone much longer but I wanted to make some changes. These motors are pretty big HP and they NEVER blow oil out the breathers and start and dock with ease.

I can picture Bob running a very tight ship to a T, I mean this in a very positive good way. Most shops have a lack of moral, organization, skills, do not care attitude, lazy and mainly very very poor communication about anything in todays world. Still to do this day it amazes me.
The thing I will add is trying to hire employees to keep this kind of level is very very hard to do because you can not do it all by yourself. They are very lucky they have that in their employees so high praise to them.
Hiring employees in the marine business is one of the hardest things to do especially if you run a very tight ship and really care about the customer & their boats plus trying to run a marine business in a very detailed manner along with everything to a perfect T and dotting all the i's.
At least 90% of marine shops do not operate this way anymore nor never did and the ones that try to operate to a T , can not hire employees to maintain any sort of level.

Always nice to hear something good. I've never had any engines from Teague, but they are always my first stop for shopping for parts/accessories. I think their customer service is awesome, and they don't mark up parts and accessories like crazy. Unlike some other High Performance vendors out there. Teague is first class in my opinion.

Teague helped me with my "offshore" oil cooler and "offshore" engine mount. Cheap price for excellent advice.
I will say that any business that is going to thrive these days better be watching the net and be proactive regarding any issues relating to their business. Unfortunately it is a time consuming thing to do and not the best use of an entrepreneurs time.
