The installer said they were "way overbuilt" It is rated for 8000lbs He said he wouldnt hesitate to put 10K on it. I didnt set out to find that lift its just the way it worked out. Its an old school lift it has the big thick arms that go under the car to lift it. The car is so low I have to jack it up to get the arms under it which is a PITA. The newer lifts have low profile arms that will get under low cars but whatever.... Including installation I have $1400 into it total and he checked it all over made sure everything was good.I wired it up.

Why don"t you build up the floor with ramps around the arms? like the sets they use for portable scales. Set the ramps in place when you have a low riding vehicle to work on, drive or roll the car in place, lift it up and remove the ramps. Seems it would be better than having to jack it up every time

The boat and truck were sold 2 months ago. That left 2 openings of my 5 car garage open. New toy fitting right in and takes up less space! (iPhone pic gives tunnel vision effect)

. It is a lot faster now through trial and error I know exactly where the car has to be in relation to the lift and I know exactly where to put the jack. However I might be able to work something like that with some 3/4 or 1" plywood stacked on top of each other..... Hmmmmm Thanks!

You sold the 32? Didn't even know it was for sell, where did it go?

I'll have to get photos of my meager in size, but well equipped garage, but I'll leave this photo here for the time being.

I drove a TR6 when I was much younger, the handling with stock power left a lot to be desired not to mention no brakes for more than one or two hard stops. What did you do to tame that kind of power?

Nice clean install.
