im 25 and the biggest problem is my generation thinks if they go to school and get smart things will just come the them. i did go to school for my applied science associates in the automotive business. its all about hard work and learned skill from what i can see to get anywhere at my age with my generation.

i do this for 13 hours a day. (gotta get my time and a half for the toys.)

out of this

in my free time i learn new skills

sometimes things happen.

so i can enjoy times like these.

im sorry for the absurd amount of pictures. just trying to prove the point that hard work will still get you places in this day and age. if only the majority of my generation could understand.

I'm 30 years old. My generation is quite sad. I only have one other friend that has his own tool box and tools. I enjoy owning my own set of tools and tool box. To be honest I need a bigger tool box. The other problem with my generation they don't want to know how to fix things. Let alone the same friend I mentioned about is the only other one that changes his own oil. I enjoy changing the oil on my car. It's an easy job to do. Yet everybody has someone to change it for them. As far as working on anything it should be easier with having you tube you have a good idea of how to do things.

The other major problem and this is with all generations. Is that they want to keep up with The Jonses on there house. So they watch HGTV and think they need to redo all the rooms to there house, even if there house is perfectly fine. With going all out and redoing all the rooms in the house your looking at 100K plus. I'll take a pass on that and get a awesome looking boat instead. I enjoy the thrill of having a boat it's very relaxing when your out there boating. Hearing the exhaust and going WOT when I get the chance to.

Question..... did you actually get the upper window trim off that Mustang without breaking the tab at the back?

I am 38, my younger brother is 31, 2 totally different guys, he loves boating (on my boat) has no urge to actually own one, says he does but I would be stuck working on it... I have built all my toys myself, part out mustangs for years to afford extras all my toys boat, Cobra, Jeep CJ all come from extra cash and work, no loans... my brother does absolutely nothing to make extra money, never wants to work extra at work for overtime (we work together) and then complains he has no money, the fact we grew up under the same roof floors me.... my dad busted his ass working on the side (autobody) to make his play money and thats where I get it from... I am so glad I did!!

Todays generation for the most part has no interest in working hard, they want it all handed to them....

So your brother works a straight 40 then goes home to a modest lifestyle and somehow that means has no work ethic?

EDIT - that was harsh

Just because someone claims they don't have any money, doesn't mean they don't have any money. I know some farmers that will tell you they can't afford hamburger steak at the cafe but own 7000 acres and run 2000 head.

if he even works a 40, he is single, has no interest in putting effort into ANYTHING, laziness to the T.... same pile of wood garbage has been in his yard a year, never cleans or maintains vehicles, sleeps a ton, computer and sports... complains no money but today he is downtown for a day of partying with friends and expects to blow at least 400.00 because it's "extra" money since he has a room mate now for a little while....im sorry but if you freak out that you pay minimal on credit cards to get by but go blow MINIMAL of 400 drinking and casino (will turn into 600+) trust me... as a brother that bothers me, finally moved out of moms this spring....I *****ed at parents since he was in early 20's for letting him stay.... everyone hands it to him so now at 31 he expects it. I love the kid, just hate seeing him struggle because he has no sense of responsibility...
