IMO -Generally speaking, even with two EFI throttle bodies, I wouldn't be surprised to the same results vs. carbs. Normally you can run more fuel with carb's since the air charge in colder. In my blow thru setup it's noticeable. It's less sensitive to warmer days too. Hard to beat the EFI drive ability though.

Had a coworker with a Thunder bolt Fairlane clone 428. He swapped the dual quads out for dual 4 bbl throttle bodys. These were the first ones think it was eddlebrock came out with. Took some swapping of the eggs to smaller ones. He dropped .4 seconds in the quarter. Dont know about the street manners or fuel economy. Also dont know how well he tuned in the holley carbs or what size they were as most dont realy tune carbs that well.
I would like to run dual 4 bbl throttle bodys on my 302 but all of them are too big. On one forum A GUY WAS INSTALLING 3 2 bbl throttle bodys on a BBF dont know how it turned out.

I was a beta tester for the holley throttle body injection (projection) back in the 80's lots of trouble with injector quality and some with the ecu. Still when it was dialed in right it was very good for the time. I used to carry spare injectors in the glove box for roadside repairs. Holley tech support was on first name basis.

I had it on a 383 screamer in an 82 Blazer. That vehicle went well over 300000 miles with me. Would still have it, but numerous visits to the boat ramp and poor rustproofing made it too big a project to save.

Totally understand hot rod auto related but some good reads as well. Also since there is a exhaust thread started else where and of course the LS stuff seems to be always a hot topic even on the marine end currently.

The only hp/torque benefit EFI has is the ability to use tuned induction lengths. This can be great ! It, also can suk if you try to operate outside of the tuned lengths.

Driveability , no one will question that .

If I want remote start on my boat, I will absolutely go EFI.
Calm down, it's a serious joke. LOL.

Have worked on several high milage cars with factory SEFI that ran poorly .Replaced every sensor, the ECM, TB, idle air bypass, TPS, plugs, wires. It still ran like crap. Converted it to carb and it ran great. Guessing wear in the engine caused it to be outside the peramaters the ECM could adjust to.
