If the moderators were paid, I'd pay.

If the site upgraded to the current century and allowed mobile platforms for access like Tapatalk, I'd pay.

If the site didn't have paying advertisers and pop ups everywhere, I'd pay.

This place is a goldmine for IB. They are simply raking in cash. The "paid" membership is icing on the cake. There's no way the site would disappear without membership fees. There are thousands of forums on the internet that don't charge a dime. I think being bombarded with ads is quite enough.

Some do though at least in some form.

I am a member of a car site for the last 10+ years and what they do is good. They don't require anyone to pay just like here, they once a year accept donations to the yearly cost and post the cost. Donations start at $20 and offer more access to the site. Larger amounts get shirts and things like that.

It works well there

Ok I'm going to throw it out there in this thread. First I'm going to say I spend a lot of time here and really enjoy the site as much as anyone. I've supported the site ever since I ran across it. I come here to have a good time and and stay out of the non-good time threads if you know what I mean. But as a businessman myself The VIP membership is a rip off. I've paid for the membership I know of at least four times to support the place. Knowing all I'm getting is a T-shirt and a pretty little spinning prop above my picture over a platinum membership. Which is fine if you get what you pay for. Every year when I click on the box for my XXT-shirt when it arrives in the mail it's a large. I've gave away I know two T-shirts to my friends because obviously they won't fit me. So this year I thought I would get OSO I wanted a small for my hot little sexy wife to wear. But when it arrived in the mail guess what size it was? Yep a Large. This is not good business and I couldn't operate mine like this. I normally have way bigger fish to fry that's why haven't address this in years but I think it's time. Here's a Pic of two larges I Dug out of the closet not counting the ones I've gave away. If a mod would like to talk to me they can PM me and we could resolve this issue in a gentleman way.
