Sweet! Got a buddy that will take delivery of a new 39 in May and I asked if he got the rear power sunshade option and he said NFW it was stupid expensive. Nice to see a lower cost alternative being devised by owners where it actually looks like it belongs. I can see some 48/88 flags flying off those poles as well!

I've been looking to do the same thing on the back of my boat with the sunshade.

Bubba- I found several suppliers for the Carbon Tube online but ultimately sourced it locally.
My combo cup / rod holders have a 1.560" id so 1-3/8" od tube fits in them good w/o being so snug. The carbon tubes are 72" long, so I will cut them to length.
I scored them for $120ea on a closeout.
The rest of the items I snagged off Amazon but I'm sure there are other options.

I believe the SureShade option goes for about $10k before discount https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.off...737efca718.jpg
& is only available to extend from the rear of the top.

Not sure you'll ever see any racing flags flying off my carbon poles, just an American or Bahamian flag when appropriate

Working closely w/ both Broward Trailers and the folks at Gen Y I opted to go w/ a Channel Mount Torsion Assy that mounts to the front of my trailer vs the typical receiver style.
Because the torsion mechanism is rather long it was creating too much leverage on my rear axle (center of the ball was setback 15" from the square receiver opening)
Going this route has allowed me to utilize a more typical ball mount which is only 6" to the center of the ball, reducing the leverage by 9"
I still enjoy the benefits of the torsion mechanism it just happens to be attached to my trailer.
Keep in mind both the receiver style & the channel mount weigh between 90-100lbs. My back has thanked me in advance for not having to remove and install the torsion hitch repeatedly.:lolhit:

I realize that the option I selected no longer allows me to enjoy the torsion cushioned towing anything else but my boat but to be honest my boat is the only thing I tow so no real loss there.

Headed to JAX PR today so we'll see how the package performs.

Thanks Gentlemen, keep in mind that if my Broward Trailer didn't have the flat nose and plate setup which allows the versatility to go several directions this would not have been an option for me.
Not many trailer built like this.

Very pleased w/ the fact that Broward does.

I like that much better than the torsion hitch. I was concerned about the leverage issue from the onset.

Posting a few pics of the latest additions to the Nor-Tech courtesy of my local canvas shop.
Cover is just a stationary rain and dust cover, not towable.
The SunShades required a bit of planning while the boat was being built in order to locate the combo cup/rod holders not to mention make sure they are oriented correctly.
The rest was pretty simple.
I chose to use Carbon Fiber tubing for the poles based on the "cool factor" but not necessary so the setup can be accomplised for less.
