Congrats on the purchase, it looks like you have really done your homework. DO you know if the 34 is available with a wraparound rear bench and only one walk through? seems like a waste to have a small seat and double walk through?
If I ordered one I would order a rear facing bar instead of the rear facing bench!

Great question & one I have 2 answers for:

Cigarette- I couldn't afford a new Cig so price point was part of the equation but I did consider a very nice low hr 39GT w/ triple 300's & a cabin. The helm is much smaller than the Nor-Tech which means the wind protection isn't as good, the Cig also didn't have any type of bow lounger nor a bench seat on the front side of the helm, just access to the head. Midnight Express- I don't know anyone that owns one so my exposure to the line is quite limited. In fact I've probably only seen them at the boat show. They actually appeal to me style wise BUT no matter what size I was considering (34'-39') they all have an 11' beam. I realize the Nor-Tech has an 10' beam which is no more legal than an 11' beam boat but as a package the Nor-Tech is a much more nimble package for me to manage.

I am fairly tight w/ several who are well respected in the boating industry, one of those being Scott Sjogren. Scott is promoting & selling the new Mystic but when I asked him what he thought of all the boats I was considering (Sunsation & Statement included) Scott said I won't find a better all around package than the Nor-Tech 340. He knows b/c he used sell them & own one. Great wind protection, very dry boat & probably best in class from a hull efficiency standpoint.

On top of that the Nor-Tech 340 met more MUST have criteria than any other boat I was considering.

I realize I haven't even received my boat let alone spent the 1st hour behind the wheel but I feel very confident about my decision & am very much looking forward to taking delivery of & boating with my 340 come April.

I have been looking for a boat and have been targeting the traditional 35-38 ft v hull go fast boats. But I have been really thinking hard about a CC. I owned a Scarab Sport back in the mid 80's and loved the boat. I kind of left fishing but remember how practical the boat was regardless of what the activity was. Decisions, Decisions, thank goodness I enjoy the search and have the time to find the right boat as you have.

Actually you'd be surprised how large the seat is. You can fit three good size people comfortably in the seat. I actually like the double pass through on my 34.

Well I'm not going to poke the bear, to be honest he's mostly reached out to me, this week just e-mail. Sportboats was at Nor-Tech today to help me finalize the paint. Sent me a few teasers of the boat show projects. We are getting ready for the start of our season & the Daytona 500 while the boating industry is burning the midnight oil in preparation for the Miami Show, the Daytona 500 of boat shows LOL!

Yes I agree that is a very sharp 390, my favorite from pictures but I've never seen it in person or a pic of the entire boat in or out of the water.

Seriously, said this before and I will say it again Terry's skill sets the bar high for boat sales. I know he's got some great dealers helping.

Looking at some of the pics on this thread I noticed the hull number of the 34. To lazy to look back but I think it was in the 50s of 34s built. I think the 39 with the super fish doubles that and if you look in the boat classifieds not hardly one for sale. Just goes to show how happy people are with his product. I frickin love mine.
