I tend to save pics that capture my attn or that I may want to refer back to again another day. This 390 Superfish w/ a black bottom was one I saved & was considering back in 2015 as I was about to build my first 340.

The newer 390 w/ the striped hull is one that completed in 2018 before my boat went into production. I thought it was unique. Not sure if its paint or gel. If gel someone paid $$$$$ to get that done b/c NT typically sprays the entire hull 1 gel color and thats it. It's a very nice boat. I have a question for you. Why did go from the cat to a v hull CC? Why not a high performance CC cat. You can have all the same amenities. I'm building a very high end 31 ft CC cat for the Merc 400R. So I'm curious about the switch. Your input would be gratefully appreciated.

To be honest at the time (2014) I was not aware of a hi-perf cat CC in the mid 30' range that offers the same amenities and capabilities that an Intrepid, Nor-Tech, Mystic, Statement or Sunsation offer (these are the boats I considered / sea trialed before ordering the Nor-Tech).

Keep in mind I spec my CC's to be performance cruisers not fish boats so the hi end cat CC would need to offer a similar package.

Fast forward to today & I'm still not aware of such a boat line and I wanted a boat w/ all the same features but larger thus my opting to go from a 34' to a 39' Nor-Tech.

Man she turned out great! Congrats! Watch yourself on the steering wheel knob! Was driving a boat in Lemon Bay this past Sunday that had a wheel like that. Holy sac swat while standing! :stooges: Betting that wheel is high enough though that it shouldn't be an issue. Saw a new 39 NT CC with trip 400's while we were running the intercostal in that area. Man those are sweet boats!

Knot- To be honest I've never had an issue w/ the suicide knob on the wheel. I know some prefer the custom spoke wheels often found on Go Fast boats but the steering on the CC's is pretty slow (intentionally) so the knob is a PLUS when maneuvering in tight quarters / docking.

The wheel you see is the stock NT issue.
I swap mine for the one pictured.

They scan the hull bottom of each boat they build a trailer for to insure an optimized & proper fit.

Received a few progress pics from Broward Trailers today.
Many of the components are bench fabricated ahead of time then all the parts and pieces come together on a jig where they are welded into place. Much more efficient than cutting and fabricating all the material as they go.

I much prefer the way Broward bends & joins the 2 C-Channels together, then plates, gussets and welds everything up into a 3 sided aluminum box. The nose of the trailer is further strengthened by the addition of a custom fabricated steel tongue jack mount. It effectively becomes the 4th side of the box.

This appears to be way stronger than the typical tag trailer that normally extends the same rectangular aluminum tubing they use to mount the bow stop to out beyond the end where the 2 pcs of C-Channel meet and bolt a coupler to it.

Not only is this stronger but it probably knocks 12-18" off the overall length of the trailer which I consider to be a plus when trailering anything over 35'.
