First throttleman was the immortal Bobby Moore, for Billy Wishnick I believe. Not sure of the first race. The naturally gifted driver he is referring to was Snapper Norris. The other answers, I'm not so sure about.

It is pretty amazing that back then these guys could run that many major races in less than a month. And they were not all in the same ocean.

Ducktail got that one right. It was Brownie who won the Miami to Nassau race that year.
Jeff. If you are saying the Turbine boat was the most unusual for the Miami Nassau race, that is incorrect.
Who finished second...you met him at OFF
Spooky is right for the California race that year.
It was a 20 foot Formula that had one big block mounted in the center of the boat, with the driver sitting with his back against the transom and the motor between his legs.
The co-driver was sitting outside the transom on a frame built seat, holding on to a steering wheel that didn't work.

Second boat in was driven by Odell and co driver was Mel Riggs
Well done now name those races in the fall of 1967....where were they held?
Yes two engines on one shaft and one prop was unusual.....and then to win with that setup made it more so.

I'm not going to cheat by going into a book.
Here goes, hurricane classic, Sam Griffith memorial,
Bahamas 500.
There were also the Delta of Don Shead for '66 and the Maltese Magnum II of John Kenerly for '68 featuring the two engines on one prop.
