Or you can do what very few of us have been able to do. Find a Hot Chick with a Trust Fund, Maybe is a Dancer just to kill time, And Loves long weekends out on a Boat.. Good Luck, We're all counting on you

I've been in this business going on the better part of 15 years, I started my own shop in Florida and moved it north late 2008 for an opportunity here. I had an opportunity to step away from self employment and the stress of it 3 years ago and jumped on it. Marine & Speed is still my Co. But put on the back burner. I still make my own schedule, draw a salary, do all the marine service work that is not easily accomplished by someone else, rigging, warranty billing, recall notifications and service and pretty much get to pick and choose what I work on for 6 boat lines and three engine manufacturers. Having said that I will work on anything and you really have to to stay afloat. I am credentialed up one side and down the other which inherently make me valuable. I stay here because I've got it good, I'll admit it. I might make more in Florida but I'd rather not go back to working 6 days a week and feel undervalued.

Get yourself well trained in HVAC/Refrigeration/Controls/Residential/Commercial. It doesn't really matter which you focus on, but, the more you learn the more valuable you will be to your employer to start, then yourself if you want your own business. There is always a shortage of good well trained HVAC guys.
The best news is you are already in a great field! save the boats for your free time
