Could you live with out power boating?
I would save money but id rather die poor and live what I LOVE!
No, I have a 1958 3 horse evinrude and a 12 foot aluminum skiff ready to go if things get tough, still a power boat....
I would have to start sailing. No water and I'll dry up and blow away.
No, boating is in my blood.
Uh NO. Many other things would be sacrificed before I would sell my boat.
I'm scared....why is this question being asked.....:party-smiley-004:
not a chance,,only place I can still go fast in a convertible and not get a ticket.
No, its the release from lifes ...whatever.
Everything else goes before the boat, pretty much the last frontier that isn't clamped down by gov and tree huggers in our area. Boat goes when I'm 10 toes up.
This ^^^^^^ +1
I tought I could not! but I'm still here everyday...!!!
I will be all this year for sure... Maybe even next.
I am sure I will be fine. |
After 27 years and 5 boats. I am boatless for the first time. Sold the Fountain in may. Live across from a small lake and have a friends boat available at all times .So far I'm ok. Never thought I would be without. Not sure What is next. Must be getting old.
Sold my last boat a year and a half ago. Have friends with a Slingshot here on the Ohio River. Family with lake house houses on Norris and St Clair and boats at each. Been doing fine without, but always casually looking. I think my next one will be a pontoon with a big egg beater on it. Makes life more enjoyable with kids and dogs.
No. Boating is my passion.

Gotta have a boat. It doesn't necessarily have to be a performance boat boat but both the wife and I would be lost without a boat.
The GF wants to sell the boat and get a toon! I told her the only reason I would get a toon would be cause the life support machine won't fit on the boat! NEVER!!
Yeah, I know, I will eventually lose this battle, but I won't go down without a FIGHT!! |
I will say I will have no boat and am OK with that here soon. But I have well more than enough rides to keep me smiling and I will be at a few event this year as always.
So that really helps lol. |
I'm surely in the minority here because I now own my first boat and although I have fun with it, I know if I were without it I would miss it a few key moments throughout the year but I wouldn't miss it too much. As long as I can take something apart, put it back together and it operates, I'm good, and that has now been done. I do understand because I have other interests that I would have a tough time living without.
I am sure that I could if I had to, however if the question was "Could I live without powersports"? then I would have to say hell NO!
I am 47 and have ridden motorcycles since I was 5. I'm on my second performance boat and my custom Harley has been sitting in my den since 2007. I never thought I would loose interest in riding motorcycles but I have for the past few years. I think the need for speed will pass in time, but, I have lived on the same lake my entire life and couldn't imagine life off of the lake with no boat.

First let me say that I would be hard pressed not to be on the water - I really enjoy it
-- However, it's ok to have "things" as long as the "things" don't have you!! It's just a boat 3pointstar |

I could. Outside of the boat I gave all the other sh*t up. I enjoy going and watching the show but I am over the headache of owning it, the boat is enough of that for me. Once that is gone I will focus on buying and redoing my home. I left all the cars, bikes, and what not in the past for the most part these days |

I am waiting for Frickstyle's comment.... I was pretty much out of boating will working on mine for 4 yrs... It sucked not being on the water but I was happy to look at one! Short awnser, no, I could not live without boating... However this place does greatly help fill the void when needed!

easily... anyone that says different is a tad delusional IMO. We're all one big event from living totally opposite from what we're used to. Do I love boating ? yes, but I could walk away from it today, it would just take something really drastic.
I guess I'll be going against the grain here...my answer is YES. Like ABSOLUTELY yes.
I enjoy going fast powered by myself even more than I like pushing throttles forward...running and biking are the two things I could not live without. |
Could you live with out power boating?
I started boating and bought my first boat 30years ago this year, in 1985 I bought a 20ft wellcraft cuddy with a 302 ford motor in it and it was "POS" and broke down a lot of times on the ohio river, but I fell in love with boating back then and have had one off and on since then! So the answer for me would be "NOT NAW BUT HELL NAW TO THE 25 FIFTH POWER AND BEYOND" I will be boating or something water related until I die.....:ernaehrung004:: |

I own 2 boats just in case.............. I could never live without it. It's almost all I think about.(ask the wife) It's the only place I feel free. But nothing free about this sport. My Cobra gets about 350 miles a year, motorcycle is lucky to get 150.
Summer is for floating parties, ripping up waves on Lake Michigan for air time, with like minded people. AB |
