How long were your mates on the hook? How deep? They can/do drown (effectively) in nets when they can't move water thru the gill plates. It could have been dead, doesn't appear to be moving in the video. Did it swim away?

They think he had been on there a while, and they were fishing deep water probably 300-400ft out there, they had lost a smaller fish around the rode earlier in the day, and can only assume this guy thought it was an easy meal but ended up getting himself caught.

I thought F450 that you were just shooting em for your own amusement , if you`re eating them thats a different story. No I sure aint vegan.

Apology accepted sir. Shark is commonly referred to as Steak Fish. They fight hard and it has a high adrenaline rush knowing that when this fish is against the boat, That it can still eat you or atleast remove your hand in half a second. It has a great taste and texture when broiled with crab imperial stuffing. Crap! Now I am hungry.
