I have wanted to go to Cuba for quite some time. I have a friend that goes there for business quite frequently and loves it.
I would love to go by boat, but would like to ride in someone ELSE'S boat, just in case Castro Jr. wants to keep it! Lol

If the travel restrictions are dropped the tiny airport in Havana will be so over run that it will take a full day to get in or out at best.Than if everybody starts bringing goods to give to the Cuban people the Customs there will be totally over whelmed.;

Castro will make so damn much money on just the 80 cents on the dollar he gives you for an American dollar not to mention he will raise the fees for departing the airport. . I think they were 20 a head last time I was there but I am sure he will make it a 100.

He ain't stupid. He knows Americans are chomping at the bit to go over there and he will have to Fleece them just to slow the huge Influx of tourists suddenly arriving.

There will be rapid inflation and the Hookers will double or triple in price . After that happens it will be cheaper to go visit our Colombian Pimp Ratman for said services..

If the seas are friendly you would be fine. It's only 100 miles so your fuel range will not be an issue. When we crossed on that Thursday seas were 2-3 ft and was a great ride. Coming back on the Sunday the wind had picked up and seas were 5 ft but was no problem for the 50 V. Smaller boats would have found it rough. Just like going out to Bahamas you need to watch the weather remembering it's one thing to get over there but you need to get back as well.

Seems there is a glitch in Cuba/US trade relations...........Cubans lack the money to pay for more products to meet their growing needs.

If you coordinate a Rally/Poker Run with the marina and make it a fund raising event for one of Cubas charities.......

Very interested to hear what you come up with. We have been talking about going summer 2016... I want to get there before it becomes to Americanized, which I don't think will take long.

Why do I feel like watching Cuba evolve to American tourism will be on par with watching Las Vegas being created and changing in fast forward?
