Hey Lake Perry crowd........I wanna go so work on Lake Chic this weekend and talk her into it for me.

The Ameristar Casino is a great place to stay in Council Bluffs...anyone else got a place maybe closer up north to the race site?

If we stay at a Casino I probably won't make it to the race.

If I get the trailer ready I will make a run up there.

Ameristar and Harrahs casinos are the 2 in Council Bluffs that are on the river, neither has boat facilities, but they are very nice places. There isn't much North of Omaha on the river but Blair would have some hotel/motels. Missouri Valley, IA is strait east of Blair about 20 miles. I-29 runs right to Mo Valley and there are 1 or 2 motels at that interchange.

There are a couple motels in Blair, Cottonwood is in Blair. There will be a band playing on Friday and Saturday night at Cottonwood. If you don't want to stay in Blair the Casino's will be the place to stay, it is about 30 minutes from the Casino's to Blair. If you have any questions let me know and i will try to answer them. Stay tuned more to come...........

Von Bongo, how far is it from the casinos to Cottonwood?

Is the party friday night better at Cottonwood or the casinos? I saw that testing is going to be going on Friday.

Cool

I'm new at this but I found out about your discussion going on here & wanted to provide some additional information. My name is Nancy Neurohr with OmahaRiverFront.com. I'm one of the coordinators for this event. I did want to let you all know that there is a very nice campground right next door to the marina. It's called Riverland Park Resort & their number is 402-426-9896. There is also a Super 8 in Blair. If anyone needs further information concerning this event or help with accomodations, please feel free to contact me at 402-571-7602 or through email at [email protected]

Funhome- sounds to me like you MIGHT be planning something?

Kat-
Will Cottonwood allow contestants to leave the boat/trailers at the marina if we would say stay at the casino? Don't know if I am too big of a fan of that idea, they way Cyndi likes to gamble I might have to pawn my truck off to leave town

Thanks
chris
