Low price apache 36 still not selling?

There is the gucci boat that stil for sale with mild motors, but this boat with big hp engine still not sold...???
900's engines scares people? Price keeps going down but i'm surprised no one bites that one if everything is in good shape, unless someone here knows this boat and says it is far from good?

Just curiosity question, because the engines keeps me away from it!

20 years old, so much purple and yellow only a Laker fan could love it with a teal dash thrown in for the rest of the color palate!

Nate5.0 01-23-2015 06:21 AM

The boat is a beast. It is my friends boat and I ride in it often. The boat is in great shape and the owner owns a marine repair and storage facility for some of the baddest boats on this site.

The colors are interesting but it is part of the fun. The engines run like a raped ape too.

Whoever buys it won't be sorry.

How much can cost a rebuilt on those 900's?

sea6 01-23-2015 11:27 AM

Ad reads like its at a used car lot, and you have to see past the colors.
IMO.

Not sure but it shouldn't be too bad. I know they have fresh top ends and are maintained to the "T". Should get great life out of them.

Definitely look past the colors on this boat. It is a great boat, lots of power, and have been a very reliable boat as long as I have known them.

Personally I like the colors but I know we all have different taste,

SS930 01-23-2015 11:36 AM

Don't look like 900 Merc's to me...

Ran-Dom 32 01-23-2015 12:23 PM

How fast would a 36 Apache be with 900 a side? would be a lot of fun blasting waves in that thing

caseyh 01-23-2015 12:27 PM

I like the colors. It screams apache! With all the love for Miami vice on oso don't understand why the old school colors are not liked more. better then some of the new stuff that looks like someone puked the rainbow on.

Been low 90's in it so far out in the gulf. Not sure what the true top end of it is but it screams for sure and is a blast to be in.

The Gucci boat was sold I know this because I bought it

thisistank 01-23-2015 01:49 PM

It's a cool boat for sure. I think the price is decent but not great when cafe racers and top guns of the same vintage are selling for less and are basically the same boat (don't be offended apache cult). And no trailer and no mention of engine hours. So basically add 8k a side in rebuilds and 5k for a trailer and the boat isn't such a great deal after all.

It won't need any rebuilds so you can keep that money. Top end is fresh as of the fun run on New Years this year.

bulletbob 01-23-2015 05:18 PM

That was in his 41 Apache I think. I will have to look back at the Vid but been in both and both take the slop like a champ.

Look more like the old Merc 600 / 800 SC motors, maybe they have been juiced up to the claimed 900.

In your dreams. Thats an 80 MPH boat at best. I have been in the boat when it was in GA.

There is no GPS just going off the words of the owner, he said low 90's when we ran it.

Not sure what you want. If you have been in the boat then you know there is nothing more than the factory speedo to go off of.

I am not sure if I copied this correct from YouTube 36 apache. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iMwmwWerDy4 .Boat ran 76 MPH on a GPS when the engines were done 3 or 4 years ago. We nick named the boat jumper!! You will see why in the video.

Link works good.

I get the jumper part for sure. He enjoys riding that boat as it should be.

The only time he ever opened it up with me in it was the day I quoted. Other than that I usually have my boat out and my pig is a high 60's boat so he just trucks right on by me lol.

That or we just go to Gators on the Pass or the island and we never even get out of a wake zone for that.

You 100% could be correct that is an 80's mph boat, i just quoted what he said he thought we were running that one day. I don't know and it was the same set up up until the new heads this New Years but I don't think it is any faster just freshened up is all.

At the end of the day it is a badass boat, that has been well cared for, and a new owner should be very happy.

thisistank 01-23-2015 07:36 PM

That boat BETTER be a 90 mph boat. 42 tiger with 900's and 6's runs 90+ all day long.

The boats cool. I'd definately rock it. I just think at the price it's not "low price" like the title states. I think you're paying every penny for that boat. Plus, the top ends may have been done recently but if the lowers haven't been gone through in 4 years, that'll be coming up soon. So, I'll stick to the added 14-16k in total rebuilds soon.

And I'm not trying to poo poo the boat or argue. Just answering the question on why it probably hasn't sold.

If That boat doesn't go 80 must be a soggy turd 💩 what what a waste of 1800hp .. & It's 2015 who doesn't own a GPS speedo anymore, that big ape hanger speedo pitot is scrubbing a few mph

He owns a GPS it is just not mounted in that boat. He has 3 boats (36 Apache, 41 Apache, and 38 Top Gun)

Ran-Dom 32 01-23-2015 07:51 PM

Any of those have steps? lol

Probably doesn't want a reminder of how slow it is. It feels fast as hell with all the jumping around!

With 850's my 36' runs 92.3 mph on GPS. I'll let y'all know what it runs with 900's in a few months. ;-)

Panther 01-23-2015 08:07 PM

No bounce either. :-)

Nykamp 01-23-2015 08:13 PM

My last 36 with 775's and 3 A's like this one ran 84 so it probably does do 90.

Ran-Dom 32 01-23-2015 08:22 PM

:food-smiley-007: turn the 9 upside down? Maybe they are 600s

Nykamp 01-24-2015 06:44 AM

Rare combo with the 3 A's, always like the paint job but not the interior colors combo.

Bad Ass TA WS6 01-24-2015 09:01 AM

Any idea what happened to yours Steve? I know it sold in the 60s (I think) awhile back. Always liked the boat, race fairing is a must! Really wish I would of bought it

Good points and the black 36 with Eickert power was 20K less....on a trailer with fresh power and a very sheltered life as a yacht tender.

The bull boat? That did not go for $53k it was listed at $99k, then $89k and then sold.

I was looking at that boat before my Sonic. I know there was a deal in that boat but he didn't get it for $53k

Pretty sure that boat was advertised in the low 60's when it sold. The owner died, his widow was selling his 171 Feadship for 25mm and his house for 25mm so this Apache wasn't a big deal......like selling a used push mower in the grand scheme of estate liquidation.
