Default prop rotation in or out on cats

Just curious what rake props and rotation most are running on cats.

whats different with the handing? I always hears that out is better in rough water.

It all depends on the boat, type of drives... Lots of variables.. As Ron said 16-18 degree rake but the diameter depends on the boat.. It's sort of a loaded question

Average would be 18 turning in. Lower rake will generally lift transom and higher rake allows more bowdise . In most cases turning out will give more transom lift(think about water coming off the deadrise of fhe sponson with outward rotation. The blade moving downward will contact the water much sooner in the stroke than if turning inward.) Of course there are many other variables.

Just switched to out ( 36 NT), picked up 8 MPH and handles good. when turning in it felt like it was picking the back of the boat up to much....18 rake.
