I highly doubt that this had anything to do with the cross on Dewey hill. My guess is that one of the coast guards screwed his wife or girlfriend. Or..his wife or girlfriend is a CG and is messing around. My scenario is alot more likely.

Maybe the guy is just a nutjob.

I have a cousin that's in his early 20's. When he was a late teen, he was having lots of problems and causing all kinds of trouble for himself and everyone around him. I was visiting my parents place one day and my mother and my aunt (his mom) were trying to clinically diagnose what was wrong with the kid and what kind of medical ( read pills) could be employed to remedy the situation.
My old man pipes up with this......"maybe he's just an a$$hole".

Probably the case here.
