Peter I was fascinated to follow your thread on your 29, will you continue it with your aero research?
We are over for the Miami show then we leave for Key West with a few more tweeks for the 29, both mechanical and aero. Regards Peter |

Dont forget there have already been a few pontoon boats running over 100mph..
Like I have always said with enough money and hp ANYTHING can be made fast.. I would imagine besides having a lot of hp this CC will also cost a LOT of money thus confirming my theory.... :) |
I like the Nor Tech
Monte Carlo, type center console! and the spectre? TopFish. one with a single bigblock inboard 4 power! |
A guy named Bob isn't the new owner is he?.........

So not sure your point. It takes HP to get moving no matter what. That is not some new found magic of today's time. |

My point is I dont find it surprising at all that a new boat with the latest design and technology , 1600hp and a price tag of I am guessing a half million dollars runs 97mph.. That is all..

:D Anything new cost a LOT of money, not sure why that is a point of anything. A new wake board boat clears well past 6 figures .....no new or shocking insight there. |

I don't believe that particular boat has a hard top. While this doesn't make it immune to all the other safety concerns present at those speeds for any boat at least It doesn't have additional lift created by the hardtop.
Maybe you could drive a new product for Nortech! |

Agreed....his new ideas and boat are fun to watch the results in. |
The cc is not here at Miami beach marina yet but this 420 Monte Carlo just pulled up with the diesels guy said he had it up to 75mph and gets 2 mpg going 60.

Hi!
Here is a picture from The Hull Truth Forum of a Nor-Tech with the new engines.. What we see are the new Sportmaster lower units. And from the picture they seem to be "coned" HD 5,4 inches Verado Poseidon lower units. I was hoping for 4,8 dia Sportsmasters. However, the standard HD 5,4 dia lower unit has a "blow out" limit around 85 mph. So a Sportsmaster will be good for the fast ones Cheeers, Toffen |
