Anyone have any advice on buying a camera? Looking for a simple to use regular old fashioned camera, NOT digital. Something reasonably priced that takes good still photos and action like boats running at cruising speed, or taking pics of moving objects. I'm camera stupid
We have an Advantix (SP?) now and like the panoramic feature, but it doesn't take the greatest action shots and we'd like more zoom.

I have and love the Cannon EOS. It will do tons of stuff including shooting 3 frames per second cristal clear. Most of the cool settings are automatic. Just put the dial on what you want and point and shoot. Light weight, pretty small, clear shoots. It even has a built in auto flash.
Just my 2 cents

Is the Nikon N60 too advanced for you? I have one and absolutly love it. Despite it's size, it's quite idiot proof. Lord knows that I've taken some great pics using the automatic settings.
