Good question. Was Frisini there at the show? I would think the owner of a company showcasing what look to be some cool new models would be there talking to potential customers. If not, RED FLAG!

Yes, Tony was at the show. My wife and I talked to him for a while about this 32 Cat. Seemed like a nice guy.

Hey Mike, legitimate question without any BS, lawyers, lawsuits, arguments, sit down discussions or anything else. Just a simple question....

Where's Chucks boat, or his refund for monies paid for said boat?

That seems pretty easy.

Gino,

By all means, do your homework. You can start by calling me as I represent Sonic and Tony, who has turned his entire operation into a solid business.

Chuck,

You can call me too. Better yet, have your attorney call me and we can discuss the entire situation, facts and all. I think those conversations may produce better results than ranting on OSO.

Thanks.

Mike A, I assume by "represent" you mean you are his lawyer, if so would you mind elaborating on your statement above "who has turned his entire operation into a solid business. "

I think anyone reading that statement would take it as an acknowledgment that his "operation" wasn't always "solid"
Am I incorrect?

thanks

I love it. Per Chuck he was (pick one) embezzeled/robbed/taken/stolen from and a couple years later the bad guy's lawyer posts on an internet site to have his lawyer contact him. What happened to traditional business practices like formal mail contact or phone contact ? And does anyone think the bad guy's lawyer has a check covering Chuck's loss in his desk drawer ?
or
Has the bad guy's lawyer(s) previously contacted Chuck with an offer that is unrealistic and Chuck isn't interested in revisiting the screwing ?

^^^^^^^^^^ Door #2. If you are running a sound business, you should be contacting the people you need to make whole. Not the other way around.

Mike A has already cashed his retainer check and is gonna keep Chuck from seeing anything in the future, that doesn't benefit himself and his client.

I guess I'm just curious, moved on from what? Delivering a boat they got paid for? Surely there's a hull with some "stuff" inside that they produced with the funds right? I'm just not sure what they're "moving on and forward" from if the former was not delivered? I can pretty much say if I took a couple hundred grand from a customer in my line of work and didn't deliver anything, I'd be in jail at worst and out of business at the least.

What's wrong with the old base? And if they're on solid ground why is Chuck boatless? BTW...I don't know Chuck, never met him nor had a conversation with him.

As for Chuck's situation, OSO is a great thing, but rarely does it work to resolve business issues.

I can say with confidence that members here have benefited from exposing some businesses that don't have their best interests in mind, unfortunately that information has come at GREAT COST to some. Hopefully there's a resolution to this for both parties. Like it or not, this IS a public matter, this is a small community and word gets around. Silence from the manufacturer only breeds suspicion, I wouldn't expect them to come on here and get in a pissing match, but the very fact that a party has distributed funds with no compensation will raise doubts in the offshore community, especially a manufacturer with no track record. The fact that it has to be done with lawyers is sad, more money being expended rather than solving an issue.
