The day before Thanksgiving 1977 ,Reeds Lake Grand Rapids Michigan. Maiden voyage of the 185 after 2 1/2 years building plugs and molds.

7 years before Powerplay/Powerquest was even a thought

Thanks for the replies and great pics . I think I read every thread before I joined , but am glad to talk with you guys that have spent a lot of time with these boats .Great lookin boats , guys . I'm diggin all the air born pics. I"d say my boat is an 8.5 out of a 10. The p.o. kept it in a garage except when he trailered it to the 10 mi. lake for weekend use . Original floor , upholstery (one small tear in bench) , engine runs like a swiss watch and never had more than oil changes , normal maintenance. It has survived a garage fire , po. managed to get it out before damage , and a divorce that the owner was ordered to give his EX the boat and then bought it back from her . (OUCH) I'm probably rambling on , but I'm excited to get in this thing and glad I found you guys to learn more about these boats . Now , come on spring lets go !

That one has been for sale out there forever . I called on it and after the guy telling me it used to do 115 before he put the stock engine back in it I kinda doubted his credibility on the condition it is in.

115? Did you ask if that was mph or km/h? Seattle is dammed close to Canada, eh?
Dude must've gotten shathouse wasted and watched the Catkiller video right before you called to inquire.

No he used to live in Detroit and that is where most of the Barons were sold through Blue Lagoon
marina, he said he towed this one out to Seattle. There is a Blue one that went out to the WEst Coast years ago but don't know where it is anymore.

I am trying to acquire another vessel but not sure if I can. If I can problem child will be for sale in the spring as a project boat, need under hatch interior redone, I have a used bravo assembly, kinda rough but in process of being rebuilt. No drive Will come w/ or w/ out motor. Status of motor was great, just have it & was gonna ring & bearing it to make sure everything was good. Boat has less then 250 hrs & motor has less then 40 hrs I guess

congrats on the new boat. you are going to just love it. the most fun you will have in it is 2'-3' chop with a half tank of fuel or less. giddy up!! it's a baron nation. lol.
