I also enjoyed seeing inside the boats as the race was happening. Great perspective.

And then, much to my surprise, my wife pops onto the screen doing a selfie with the camera crew on day 2!

Outstanding show. It was the "perfect storm" for this to be such a great show.
1. Great bunch of equal spec boats
2. Key West
3. Production was focused on only ONE class
4. Water conditions that week was the equalizer for all teams (2 calm days and one big water day for the final)
5. Lots of on board cameras that let you hear what they were saying

#3, why did they only cover one class?

What a Great Video and Racing!

We need more video's from the boats like this, I watched the Amsoil Video from Key West and Detroit and just loved watching them. I would love to see the Super Cat Class battling it out in Detroit the Motor City on Labour Day 2015.

It was a high-quality production. Very well done and somewhat informative to someone that may be less aware of the sport.

I don't know for sure. I would guess that the people paying to put this together are in that class and there sponsors wanted exposure. I personally liked the focus on just one class. It has been done in the past trying to cover all the classes just a little and what you get is a diluted show IMO . This race was the perfect set up for great battle on the course. This doesn't always happen and would not be very interesting to watch a hour long show of boats racing and never passing anyone. With that being said they could have had a great show just showing the SS or unlimited class. Both of them were just as entertaining to me.

Tin foil hat time, the rubbing was intentionally hamming it up for the cameras.

Funny how they kind of try to bill it as the fastest class.

No one in their right mind would do that for the camera's at that speed and possible injure themselves or others and the repair cost.

I don't care how they bill it, it was some of the most exciting Offshore Powerboat Racing to watch and keep it up.
