Just ordered my new Hardin Marine throttle to replace the single Merc throttle control.
Can't wait until it gets here to install. VERY fed up with this finicky Merc control box.
Ordered this in red.

Group buy? ? I am also ready to upgrade to a two handle side mount unit. It seems that there are several people here interested in getting one, get me a head count of buyers and I will see if I can arrange a group buy and get a discount. It's great that there are 3 different manufactures and several different distributors, I am sure that one of them will step up to get our business)
Note that the bottom link has the button top and bottom instead of left and right. Anyone have one and how long did it take you to get used to the new button arrangement?

Oh great,
I pull the trigger and NOW there are others wanting a "group buy"
Just kidding.
I went with the Hardin Marine and it JUST arrived this afternoon.
What a nice piece of equipment. VERY heavy, tough construction etc... ANYTHINGS better than the Merc single stick and I can't wait to install this dual stick control.

Option "B"
Just an FYI with the demise of Dana we set out to build a side mount control and fix a few if the idiosyncrasies associated with their unit such as actually fitting the mercury bolt pattern as a direct bolt in but best of we REDUCED the cost by a FEW HUNDRED bucks and put them on the shelf so you can actually get them when you want them. As of today we have 200 units available and the price is only $599 They are available in colors and the colors will be updated by weeks end. The handles are a little more ergonomic and the trip switches are superior. http://www.hardin-marine.com/p-74408...t-control.aspx

Is the black button above the kill switch a "trailer" button?

In the process.
Been very busy at work but that's no excuse. :-)
Here are a few pics.
Time to drill and cut a little fiberglass.
Dry fitment, wiring it all up soon.
(Warning sticker removed.... Should have done that years ago)
Not sure when I will be wet testing as this weekend is a busy one for us AND the weather isn't cooperating very much. High of 69 degrees? YUCK!!!
