Traffic will be a nightmare,,
it already is on busy weekends,,more so than the beach,,
also its a long haul for the
boat show ferries and busses from there to bayside ..
Think about all the space they have now,,Convention center,
tents outside convention center,
in water displays at the marina, not to mention
the Convention center is walking distance to clubs, restaurants and hotels..
The stadium is in the middle of nothing..
Parking is way more limited than the beach and thats saying a lot..
Closest hotels will be miles away..Heck the closest anything is miles away.
I know , we had a slip at the marina next to it.
Because of this I think the overall show will end up being smaller..
I think after next year they will be screaming to go back to the beach once
the center is redone.
I already know of a few groups that are skipping next year to see how it all works out first..
Proposed parking on site:
Exhibitors alone will be able to use that..
There is no other major parking around for miles..
According to quote below you will park 5 miles away..
If you do get parking there you will also pay tolls in and out
on top of parking..
Everyone else will have to shuttle in ..

.
Q: What transportation is provided for exhibitors and attendees?
A: There are 12,000 parking spaces available throughout downtown Miami and within five miles of the show,
in addition to 2,000 parking spaces at the show site dedicated for exhibitors and VIP parking
Water taxis will also be stationed at numerous ports and hotels throughout Miami to take attendees to and from the show quickly and efficiently – approximately a 15–30 minute ride depending on departing location; plus free water taxi service to and from the Strictly SailŪ location at Miamarina at Bayside. The show will also offer mooring in the Basin and launch service for people arriving at the show in private boats.
Q: Are there plans for water taxis or shuttle service to and from Miami Beach and/or the Yacht & Brokerage Show?
A: Currently there are no plans to have transportation to and from Miami Beach or the Yacht & Brokerage Show.
Q: Will the water taxi fleet be large enough to accommodate demand to and from the show?
A: We are currently working with several transportation partners and will have a variety of water taxis and larger vessels to accommodate the people coming to and from downtown Miami, plus a fleet of shuttle buses to and from the show.
Q: How will the show manage traffic to and from the Park?
A: We are working with the City of Miami’s police administration to put a comprehensive transportation plan in place. The City has experience managing traffic for major events on Virginia Key and throughout Miami. We are committed to ensuring a significantly improved transportation experience for attendees and exhibitors.
Q: What about the toll booths on the Rickenbacker Causeway?
A: SunPass and Toll by Plate have been implemented on the Rickenbacker Causeway, and there are two lanes in each direction moving at 45 mph.

what hotels will everyone use? Coconut Grove is already full from the Art festival - same weekend.
I'm sure the show will be good for guests and exhibitors, but the show does have a few challenges to deal with! 1) parking 2) accommodations
Change is always difficult.
