Very nice to see a group is SW Michigan again. We camp up around Allegan quite a bit and I hope to join and boat there sometime with you in my little boat! Not the hydrodyne, the little 272! Just gotta get the thing out locally this summer and make sure I figured out how to make it run now..... Really want to boat on lake Michigan, been a long time since I have been out on that lake....

Guys, please help me spread the word about West Michigan Offshore! A few guys and I had a dream of establishing an organized powerboating group in our area, and finally took the plunge right after the New Year. We’ve been working like crazy to make it happen, and am excited to announce our official launch today!
We’ll host seven events this summer, and a few during the offseason too. They range from high speed, on-the-water fun runs to low-key raft offs. We’re trying to make our events appealing to high rollers but equally accessible and welcoming to the ‘smaller fish.’
We have T-shirts, polos, and decals, and have been generously supported by several sponsors. We’re also doing a sponsorship (paid for by a donor) at this year’s Boyne Thunder poker run to help get the word out.
We’re active on Facebook, and have a solid website. Also, Jason Johnson is writing an article about our launch, which should come out sometime today.
Most importantly, the WMO board of directors will soon be choosing a charity that we’ll donate a portion of our proceeds to. This is one of our biggest focuses, and hope to make a big difference in the community.
If you’re in the area, plan to attend the April 25 kick off party. Curt Watkins’ 50 Skater will be on display, we’ll do a raffle, free hors d’oeuvres, a cash bar, and lots of other cool stuff. Also, you should consider becoming a member.
Board members receive no compensation and are in it ONLY to benefit the West Michigan go-fast community, while giving to charity. Even if you aren’t in the area, spread the news and help us get this thing off the ground!!

I definitely think the intent is to have runs that are for everyone. If you check out the events on http://www.westmichiganoffshore.com/events-1/, at least 3 of the fun runs offer modified versions (there is a link on the June, August, and Labor Day Fun Runs already) for those that don't want to get pounded for 70 miles. We will definitely try to do this for all of our runs!

Cant wait to get this summer started. I think that this club will bring alot of fellow west michigan boaters together for some fun. If you're already a member or interested in being a member, please RSVP for the April launch party
