Sounds about right, my buddy has a 03 42 Lightning with 575's that he ordered new.

Yes, I have a 575, in an 05 boat built in August of 04. I know there were some put in boats built in March of 05

On pre-2003's true, Merc switched gaskets for 03 and beyond.
