Yes each boat is different. But also notice just how big the casings are on an 8. It requires at least a 17" diameter prop. Which I know on cats spinning out(which is what all the fastest set ups use) the bigger diameter prop makes the rear end very loose. If you like big rooster tail rotate props in. Lol So in some aspects is one situation leads to other issues that can't be helped. I know talking to Bill when he was building the new 388 that he was concerned about the 8 lowers being able to get them blue printed down to handle the smaller diameter prop. We shall see now that he's pretty much done with the engine tuning and is gonna start really testing props. |
Maybe when compared to the M8 but not always faster when compared to the NXT1.

Who gaf? 95 percent of the people on here will continue to put too much power through a pos bravo and keep replacing parts/drives, myself included.

Anytime Mercury discontinues a product it affects the used market value for the worse. Period

I suppose you're right.

The 6 is actually the best, fastest. Like I said the new 8Rs still aren't as good as the 6.

How can you post this if you don't own either? What type of boat do you own?
PS- nice job on your Eliminator, looks great. |

Simple- like I wrote: by talking to the pros and learning. Just like I've never played in the NFL but I know how to explain coverages and plays. I never said I had 1st hand OWNERSHIP EXPERIENCE. Nor do I believe one needs to own something just to know how things work and handle.
