Boat Customs Tilt Trailer...
3 Attachment(s)
I have commissioned a new tilt trailer to be built for the Mystic since everyone else that builds them is months behind and they are double the cost... Chris Mills at Boat Customs is building it and it is being done the right way. I am a Civil Engineer and the plans and specs are done so get past that as I have done my due diligence with respect to design since that is in my profession. I also think that it was previously commissioned by another Mystic owner who understands all the issues and the insurance and certifications are in place to build, register, and eventually provide a first rate product. He has seen other tilts that are not as high a quality as they could be done so I have sent the second draw to him and he is progressing as we discussed. I attached a rendering of the final product and a couple pics of the progress. I am expecting delivery in about a month so I will keep everyone updated as to the progress...
I am having the trailer built with full stainless hydraulic lines, aluminum cradles, LED light packages, air ride etc... It is being done top notch so we will see how it works out and you guys will see me on the poker run circuit this summer and if it works out I will be the biggest fan and proponent so see you guys in a month or two! |
Are all the tilt trailers built so the port side is down and does the boat have to be built for the fills to be on the upside?
|
Wow, looks like a cool build.

Keep us updated, looks awesome!

Quite a few tilt with port side up. Yes boat has to have fillers up on the high side |
Man they are turning out some big stuff!!

Correction, I have fillers on both sides. The tanks that came with my MTI allow it to tilt either way. I can be completely empty or filled to the brim with gas as well.
Chads boat and trailer will be one gorgeous setup for sure! QUOTE=precisiondetails;4296760]Quite a few tilt with port side up. Yes boat has to have fillers up on the high side[/QUOTE] |
Boat Customs Rocks!

I don't know how their pricing is, but these guys seem to be on their game! They appear to work at a pretty good clip too! Nice job guys...

Wouldn't one want the rear two hydraulic pivots affixed to the front hydraulic pivot? I'd expect that one giant superstructure, while being a bit heavier, would still be better for the structural integrity of the boat.
