Hey Sean...Are you going to be running around the Claudios area this Saturday? I'm thinking of bringing the boat out to the east end on Sat, weather permitting. I'd love to check out the new Cig. Unfortunately, Wes isn't going to be in HB this weekend. Steve

Hey Steve...I just got back from my little vacation. Sorry I didn't see this post, I don't have internet access at my "summer home"... Do you have any more plans to travel to the east end?
Here is a small "map" of my trip...the boat ran relatively well aside from losing a coil, but we were up and running within 5 minutes(I had a spare on board)
Stayed at the Sag Harbor Yacht Club for one night, then on to Block Island to Champlins for a night and back to Star Island Yacht Club in Montauk for the final night...it was a good trip and we beat the weather by about an hour!

Sean...sounds like a great trip. I was at the Sag Harbor Yacht Club a few weeks back...geez...some of those boat (ships I should say)...well, you know...
We were at Claudios on Saturday after launching in Old Saybrook. The weather was great and we ran around Shelter Island and tooled around other areas for a while before going back. To bad you and Wes weren't around.
I think I would definately go back before the season ends. It only takes 1 1/2 hours to trailer the boat up to Old Saybrook. From there it's only 1/2 hour to your area. Maybe we can hook up and get Wes to join us. I won't be winterizing until the end of October (gotta love those 496s for quick emergency winterizing if it gets cold one night)
Wes...you still got some weekends left with the boat...right?

I actually liked SHYC...Les is a hell of a nice guy and they were very accomodating...Champlins was okay facitlities and help was good. Star Island was the worst as far as service goes...but they had the best facilities.
We should all try to get together at least once before the year is out. This coming weekend is no good for me though...let's try for the following weekend...maybe a Fall Fun Run 2002 ??!!!
