Probably two weeks. Only pieces we are waiting on are my carburetors and stud girdles. I bit off a little more than I could chew doing three of these I think. lol
The only parts I reused from my old motors are the blocks and the ignitions. My UPS man is just starting to speak to me again after carrying 3 crankshafts, 3 sets of heads, and 3 of everything else.

without cam specs and compression ratio it is just a guessing game i,m not a good guesser so i will just wait for the dyno results.
Should make 1.25 to 1.32 HP per cubic inch so long as the compression isn't 10:1+ and the cam isn't too narrow of a LSA. |
How much difference in hp between the three motors?????????:)
I call a 2% spread, 14hp.
Your heads and valve train are the same as mine with bob's cam 112 center line, 714hp @ 6,000rpm, mine is a 555ci, with cnc cambers. They will sound good with dry exhaust.
683 @ 5800 rpm :-)
Updates?
690

We must have missed the dyno results to much, how about 316hp going off a cliff?? JUST KIDDING ! Hope everything is ok with you and your motors!!!! ttt.
Bullet #1 fresh off the dyno. On Nice N Easy non ethanol 91 pump gas she made 673.3 HP @ 5800. I am happy as a clam because when we planned this build out I told Bob I wante 675 hp pump gas motors. Just gotta repeat with the other two and good to go! Special thanks to Jim Bersani @ JBE for the assembly/tuning and to Bob Madera/Marine Kinetics for the package. Timing was at 34 degrees. I don't have the torque or bsfc numbers in front of me as the sheets are still at the dyno. Bullet #2 is going on the pump today and bullet #3 either Saturday or Monday.
Very nice! I figured alittle higher, but whatever,, still a good number. Congrats
If theres one good thing about triples, its nice on a build like this. You going from 1500hp total, to 2000hp total. Should wake the boat up that extra 500hp.
That's if those other tired motors were even making 500 apiece. The center motor never even had a timing tab on it so who knows how or if they ever timed it or where it was at. The port motor had a stuck lifter and a flat cam lobe and the starboard motor had a weeping head gasket. I think this big barge should crack 90 now. It ran 83-84 before.
Looking forward to hearing how it runs with the new power. Trips to win:wizard:
Good to see your happy and may the boat make you happy when put back in.

Without knowing the cam specs and comp, the output could be anywhere on the map... but given the lack of info, I'm going to guess 682 hp.
LOL. |
If you can't go over, wouldn't the guy that guessed 668 in post #25 be the winner? If you can go over, the mayor guessed 675 in post #40.

My motor is similar just more cubes and made 712 that is what I based my guess on. |
Bullet #2 made 679.9 and Bullet #3 made 667.5 today making it the runt of the litter. 12 hp spread from worst to best. 1.7% Not too shabby!
