the damn is awesome. if its not busy i'll drive head first all the way to the water and pull a U turn, and then back down. the walk back up it sucks at the end of the weekend though,

Yep, that might be the best thing to come out of the dam repair project, aside from less chance of the dam bursting. :eek: The new ramp over there is a quantum leap improvement over the little two lane ramp that used to be there. Parking is much better too. IMO, it is the best place to launch on the lake.

Are there plenty of courtesy docks around the ramp? I always like most of the Cumberland marinas since they have plenty of places to put the boat once you launch for a few minutes.

I use google maps all the time to map out what ramp I use. Use the satellite view and you get great detail. Since I'm pulling over 60 feet I have to plan my launches!

No, just a small dock on the right side. Nothing at all compared to the large docking space around the marinas launch ramps.
