That story paints a slightly different picture, which makes a bit more sense as to what happened.

Guys were in there 30's girls were 19-22 on a well stocked boat of booze.
What's the drinking age? How many under 21? And one of them looses her arm, sad. |

12 people on board, who does that with a 29' boat, I've got a 35' boat and rarely have more than 6 and never have more than 8 in mine, WTF.
I wonder whose going to represent him. Weight wise its about the same, seating wise toó. but then again you would have to carry a lot more hershey Kisses than him to lure them there fat girls out of the boat and UP ontó.the dock unless you also own a crane service... Rm |

Exactly. Now they have to prove otherwise. There is no law about being drunk on water while not under way. he is a lawyer. He will beat the charge. Naut Guilty. lol
He approached the Naut Guilty, where a passenger told him there were people still in the water. The passenger leaped onto the SeaTow boat and directed Murphy to a man about an eighth of a mile from the boat, and then to three more people cold and clinging to a seat cushion. Urbelis was among the three passengers farthest from the Naut Guilty, Murphy said. You can't get a BUI if you were 1/8 of a mile from the boat! This was a dopey cop trying to close the case Columbo style and the newspaper ran with the story. Guy is going to beat it, then probably sue the cops for false arrest! :food-smiley-007: |

Maybe, but now someone has to take the rap and all the witness accounts have to collaborate. So I think it's doubtful.

If its not the owner, I doubt there was any testing done to the other passengers. So many witnesses, the driver would almost have to be identifiable.
|
they don't have any alcohol test for any of the other passengers so bang, he's going to get off! A tragic accident
|
Corpus delicti. Case dismissed.

I was thinking they would have to collaborate so the story corroborates. LOL |
