So how about some opinions on this used Sonic. Is it priced fair? Too high, low or good deal? This boat is very clean.

Low? Yet you paid 8% less than this almost 2 years ago at a retail dealer?

A dealer that also said he sold it too low and I had no trailer. So actually I paid a bit more with trailer and as I have said...I feel I got a Great deal below market value.

I listed Many comps......unless you plan on buying my boat. Your opinion is just that and nothing more.

Rubber, gaskets, moisture in the motors and drives, hairline cracks etc. etc. Even if it's winterized right. And believe me, even many of the "expert" marinas or service people won't do it right. Salt is not the problem. Freezing is, and lack of proper maintenance.

Maybe you should tell all those folks that take their salt water boats to LOTO to sell them....

Well, after reading this thread, learning about the soft market, and knowing that a lot of Superboats, Progressions, and Kryptonites stayed in Long Island where it freezes AND is salt water, I'm going to offer ten cents on the dollar of asking price on the next one I see listed..... cash. (Putting "cash" at the end of offers lets a seller know you mean business!)

Funny story on "cash".....Buddy selling a 38 TS TG, 175K asking price and boat was 3-4 years old. Buyer shows up and is claiming cash cash cash and offers 130K. My buddy decides to call in the bet.......says great if you show up in the next 30 minutes with 130,000 in cash I will sell you the boat. Then comes, well I have to get a loan, need an appraisal etc. Deal was off...... Boat sold a few weeks later very close to asking price and it was a wire transaction.

If a dealer says he "sold low" so does that mean "Bubbles" wasn't going to use my dollars to go to college when she got off the stage?

FYI......Your own sale is a comp! :food-smiley-007: You jump into just about every thread with "yeah, wish it sold so I could move to a CC" yet when several mention your pricing scheme is flawed you get upset.

Hmmm the above OSO sonic is priced low but been for sale since November. I'm no used car GM or anything but in my sales experience stuff prices low sells very fast. Stuff priced at marketish value tends to be a while and stuff overpriced sits for 6 months or years. It's obvious when the same stuff is for sale for 6 months to a year or more it is overpriced. People over valuing their possessions is nothing new and will continue forever. People who want to sell stuff understand markets and fluctuations and know how to price to move.
