People get hung up on it as it tightens the rear seating.

In this particular boat the narrow beam is compounded by the armrest cupholder/piece protruding into the seating area.

I cannot tell if the armrest is present on the port side as well or not as the picture is somewhat blown out, but this feature makes an already thin boat even more tight in the back.

For a purely race boat- no problem there are no passengers so who cares, as a non race boat, you lose flexibility.

After seeing the cockpit of the Y2k I agree. I said I would never own another 7' beam boat because the cockpit is too small. But, the sit down seats in the Y2k are much narrower than bolsters and there appears to be plenty of room between the front and rear seats.

I agree, if you're only taking 4 total people out it looks like plenty of room and I like the side steps instead of having to step on the seats.....you may not lose that much room since you can use that as an armrest. I think that blue one may be the nicest Y2K I've seen....I really like that sun pad but I'm curious where the air intakes are for the engine compartment? I don't see any in the picture unless they're somehow built into the front of the sun pad.

Plus the gunwale on the y2k looks very narrow. So the interior may only be a few inches narrower than a 8' wide boat with wide gunwales.

So whats the Grey boat - that is a very nice boat as well.

Funny its 99 % V-hulls and the vid kind of reminds me of the vid from the Michigan PR last year. Also the Germans really love their Baja's. jeepers I have not seen that many Baja's in one place since the early 2000's when they were hot sellers.

Looks like they like the 26 Hustler to and few Donzi's.

Yep I've never seen so many 26 Hustlers in one place! I believe that the green boat was a 24 Cigarette that I remember seeing it in the OSO classified ads about a year ago for sale in Hawaii. Here's the link, it sounds real good in that video:

I like that part of it. I have always like the old school offshore V hulls.
