If you take something with lines a bit more 'Skaterish' you would have more freeboard at the transom and you could clamp a no troubles outboard on it and also gain lots of cockpit space because it won't taper in towards then stern.

MTI style does look cooler but very impractical. (not that practicality is your biggest concern) The idea looks interesting but as others have said, a fun project with a very small window for $$ opportunity.

My thoughts are that this idea retarded. The first Bayliner wake you hit will send you to the hospital with a ruptured spleen or a broken tail bone. Plus MTI look nothing like a Mystic. Keep dreaming...

For the money and time spent on a somewhat novelty item you could have a boat much more practical.

Agreed. Make it big enough to fit 2 adults comfortably and run 70 mph and it would be a riot!
